HARRISBURG – Rep. Keith Greiner (R-Lancaster) today announced that the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has approved nearly $1.5 million in state grants for water and sewer system infrastructure improvements in the 43rd Legislative District.

At this morning’s meeting, the CFA approved the following grants through the COVID-19 American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) H20 PA fund and the PA Small Water and Sewer fund.

• New Holland Borough - $746,508 to replace 1940s-era water mains along Locust Street.
• Upper Leacock Township Municipal Authority - $365,545 for a water distribution system improvement project.
• Leacock Township Municipal Authority - $370,885 to replace the UV disinfection system at the municipal wastewater treatment plant.

“These are much-needed infrastructure initiatives for which I have provided support and have strongly advocated for the funding of these projects,” said Greiner. “I am pleased that this funding has been approved and will enable these communities to receive the water and sewer improvements they need to protect the health, safety and quality of life of our residents.”
